After 25 years as a photographer, it's time to travel back to my roots to where I was inspired to become a photographer in the first place. Travel photography is one the most rewarding ways to capture the atmosphere of your holiday. I still have the love, passion and energy for the profession. I would now like to pass this on in a fun, relaxed and friendly tuition course. I studied photography when it was only film and darkroom to create great images. Now we live in a digital age where we have more control on the editing side of photography, we will be looking at the editing side in Photoshop. Travelling and photography go hand in hand. If you want to become a better photographer then you’re more than welcome to join me on one of my tours. These tutoring holidays are great for beginners, serious amateurs and for those who like an active, fun and stimulating holiday. For landscape photography Neutral Density Graduated Filters can be used in a creative way. We will be looking at these throughout your trip. Also, as part of the filter range we will be using the small and bigger stopper range for creative long exposure. I will be bringing my 5x4 large format film camera on the UK tours and the medium format camera will be used abroad. This will give you a great chance to use these camera's with my supervision. We will each be taking two photographs on two separate sheets of 5x4 film with this large format camera and one roll of 120 film on the medium format. Hopefully this will help you to become a better photographer by intensely studying your image before you take the photo. Using this camera will allow you to frame, adjust and perfect your image more thoughtfully. Unlike digital photos which can be retaken and replaced, you have a limited quantity of film. Therefore, you learn to think more carefully about your image. Exposure and composition must be right before you release the shutter.
